Henningsen Glacette is named after the founder of La Glace, Nicolaus Henningsen, that owned La Glace from 1870 – 1876.
Stagetorn glacette is named after Merethe Stagetorn, who owned La Glace from 1978 – 1989.
Kolos glacette is named after the current owner and daughter of Merethe Stagetorn, Marianne Stagetorn Kolos, that has been the owner La Glace since 1989, and will retire on the 8th of October 2025 so her two daughters can take over the responsibilities.

Upon the accession to the throne in 1972, La Glace created the Margrethe cake – a tribute that has remained part of our daily selection ever since, for 52 years.

To mark the accession in 2024, we have created the Frederik X cake – a tribute destined to remain part of our daily selection for many years to come.
