The periodic cake-table.

Conditori La Glace was founded on 8 October 1870.
The year before, in 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev arranged the known chemical elements into what we now recognise as the Periodic Table.

To mark La Glace’s 150th anniversary, we have taken inspiration from this iconic chart and its chemical formulas to illustrate how many elements bind together our history, our cakes, our people, and our surroundings. Without one atom (read: cake), the other element (read: history) would not truly stand on its own. It is the many small elements, ordered by their atomic numbers, that form what we call The Periodic Cake Table.

This chart — playfully imagined yet thoughtfully composed — is a portrait of Conditori La Glace’s very essence: our elements. The classic layer cakes in our daily selection, seasonal creations, grand celebration cakes, intricate decorations, glimpses of shop and kitchen life, historical moments — and above all, the sweet people behind it all.

The poster presents 90 charming insights into the world of La Glace, illustrated by Ida Rørholm Davidsen.
